It is not only a cookbook!

By: Karina Swachta (Cracow Girl)

This is the cuisine from my family home, where I want to invite you and teach you how with only few ingredients you can make a delicious and filling meal. And because we all know that the kitchen is the favorite room during a party and the most interesting discussions happen over the table, I add stories to every recipe – stories about culture, history or traditions of Poland.

How to roll Gołąbki?

I am sending you a video on how to roll gołąbki – stuffed cabbage – because I think it might be extra helpful in case of cooking this meal. It was recorded by Mom and our dog assisted me in the process 🙂

Karina Swachta (Cracow Girl)

Foodie

I am a Cracow lover with a mission to show people what is best in my city and my country. I am also a big foodie and I believe that there is no better way to learn about new place than around the table. I run pierogi cooking class for travellers in my private apartment in Krakow and share my passion for polish culture and history with my hands covered in flour. Travelling to other countries is my passion and inspiration for my work, because I can create things for visitors that I would want to take part in when discovering new place.

I’ve never been great at recipes and the idea of cooking overall just seemed overwhelming. Then I met Karina and through our time living together I saw how cooking was more than just making something as quick as possible and be done. It can be a gateway to culture and experiences of others. It’s a way to enjoy others at a very human level. It’s something we all do and we can make it enjoyable, comfortable, and delicious. Karina is a proper businesswoman and witch of many things; creating something while educating. So enjoy these stories of a rich country from a woman who gives her heart in everything she does and relish in the tastes of Poland.
